Tumhari Sulu the Suresh Triveni’s directorial introduction, started prep on Monday. Vidya Balan performs a happy, middle-class housewife who unexpectedly settles a job as an RJ of a late night radio show. She is practising with a language coach ahead of the first schedule that takes off in April. A source says, “The film will shot in one month, and the team is viewing at a December announcement. The hunt for Vidya’s onscreen husband initiated. Suresh Triveni, who has an advertising background, has a story ready for every scene. Her look will be Indian but stylish.”

Suresh Triveni declared that he just came to Mumbai to work with his now top women. “There were a couple of hit as well as miss opportunities before this one. Last year, we got talking and one of the two ideas I had materialised into ‘Tumhari Sulu’,” the filmmaker told Mirror, adding that it was during a late night car ride that he stumbled upon the idea for the T-Series Ellipsis Entertainment production and felt it was tailor made for Vidya. “I write the film a year after when I met her.
Middle-class housewives have portrayed as annoyed and troubled in Hindi films but I’m a huge Hrishikesh Mukherjee fan, and he explained that even middle-class families could sweet,” he replies. Suresh’s enchantment with Bambiya Hindi started to the team by hiring a diction coach for Vidya. “It is not tapori Hindi, and it is likewise the kind of conversations. We usually hear in the ladies compartment of local trains. Vidya is a Mumbai girl who rose up in Chembur. However we wanted to give her talking style a new flow,” he describes.
Vidya Balan also performed an RJ in ‘Lage Raho Munna Bhai’, and the filmmaker asks the roles are entirely different. In Rajkumar Hirani’s comedy project, she speaks in the morning, while here she hosts a night show with an element of trouble. The Co-producer Tanuj Garg describes ‘Tumhari Sulu’ as ‘a happy, light-hearted comedy that will leave you with a smile’.
