Shriya Pilgaonkar Wants To Work with SRK Again
Pilgaonkar, who is in society for her play, “Internal Affairs”, an urban romantic comedy, said she loves dancing and would like to swing a leg with Shah Rukh. Ans she wants to do something, which she did not get a chance to do in ‘Fan’. Numerous impressive actors like Ranbir Kapoor, Nawazuddin Siddique and Ranveer Singh are also in her wishlist in Bollywood. As a performing artist, it is the script that is greatest for her. The medium, format and term of her role never act as a control for her, she added. The play will spotlight at the Shri Ram Centre because of Performing Arts.
“For me, the script, content and the quality of the role matters first of all. I want to do inspiring work. For the similar reason, I was all right working in Hindi, Marathi, or French films for that concern. Right now, I am glad to do plays, movies and commercials. I do not see myself working for television for the time being,” Pilgaonkar said.
However, the actress, she is the daughter of television great Sachin and Supriya Pilgaonkar, is not that interested in working on the small screen as it requires “a different sort of confinement”. Unlike most star-kids, she never believed the pressure of being born to celebrity parents, as they “never asked somebody to put in a good word for her”.
Shriya Pilgaonkar Views About Her Parents
“I have never felt that pressure, partly because my parents have never put that kind of pressure on me. They never interfere with my work. I take their opinion since they have been in the film industry for over 50 years now. However, it is inadequate to that. Having said that, I am glad for people analysing my work with my parents. Because comments like ‘you have your parents’ genes’ only shows that they acknowledge my task. And I take that as a blessing,” says Shriya. Talking about what kind of roles she would like to do in future, musicals and biopics. These are her preferred genres.
“A movie similar ‘La La Land’ would be just exceptional. I just cannot get over this musical love story. I loved Emma Stone and wished to do a performance like that in future. Besides, I would love to biopics where I can play an exciting role on screen. I liked the way the girls presented in the movie ‘Dangal’,” Shriya Pilgaonkar said.
