Pakistan Army wins gold in UK's Cambrian Patrolling contest

It was a Pakistan army team that plays a part in UK’s Exercise Cambrian Patrol. In the end, Pak Army got success and come back with a golden label. As a result of this win, they got gold, as reported by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). They said competition, defined as “one of the hardest patrolling contest designed for military personnel,” saw Pakistan emerge victorious among 131 competitors.

The Cambrian Patrol is one of the most physically exhausting exercises in the world. It held in a rocky, mountainous region of Wales, UK. This annual competition organized by the 160th Infantry Brigade and Headquarters Wales of British Army. It comprises teams from around 140 countries in a physically challenging exercise which provides for covering an 80-km course on foot carrying an average of 30kg and completing the distance in 48 hours.

Furthermore, the contest inaugurated in 1959, through the Welsh Territorial Army Soldiers. This match was on the go as a weekend working out a program which involved in a long-distance march done the Cambrian Mountains and completed with a shooting contest on the Sennybridge training ground.
