Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak is the movie which gave Hindi Cinema, one of its most talented actors Aamir Khan then, a young man who could charm women with his chocolaty glances and cuteness. Now, he is one of the industry’s heavyweights, an icon and an inspiration to a million. Although, at 51, Aamir Khan draws inspiration from his colleagues Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh.
During an interview, Aamir, who has created history with his latest – Dangal said, “If there is anybody I am competing with it’s myself. It doesn’t mean I don’t consider Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan as great actors, they are amazing.”

Aamir more expressed that “Not just them, we have some different players like Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Ajay Devgn, Ranbir Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan. I am not an ignorant person when I see excellent work of others I love it.”
“When I viewed ‘Sultan’, ‘Dabangg’ I loved it. When I saw ‘Munna bhai’, I loved Sanju (Sanjay Dutt). I become happy just as I see my colleagues doing great work, and it motivates me. When I watch work of Ranveer or Ranbir Singh, I feel inspired.”
The ‘Dhoom 3’ star rather thinks he should keep improving himself as an actor. “I do not perceive myself to comparing with anybody. I do try to compete myself with others, and I thought it is truly a strange word. I am just doing try make myself better than before. As I am an artist so I am trying to improve my art. I desire to be an improved one as an artist but not from the business point of view.”
In the recent past, Aamir has attempted a variety of eccentric characters. He essayed a young college boy in ‘3 Idiots’, a police officer in ‘Talaash’, a magician or thief in ‘Dhoom’, an alien in ‘PK’ and last but not the least, a father to two grown up daughters in ‘Dangal’.
