ICC Champions Trophy is now in its flow, as the 10th match was played between England v Australia on 10th of June 2017 at Birmingham. The day was lucky for team England as they won the toss, as well as they, won the game by 40 runs by D/L method. The match was interrupted by rain in 41st over of the 2nd innings. BA Stokes from England side was the player of the game as he was the century maker not out with one wicket as a bowler.

England gives the invitation of batting to Australia after winning the toss, and it was a wise decision of Morgan in the end. If we put an eye to the start of the Australian innings, it was much better as the openers manage to make 40 runs till their first loss. Wood was lucky to get the wicket of Warner when he was on 21.
The 2nd wicket partnership was very strong as it was a partnership of 96 runs between Finch and Smith. Finch caught by Morgan on the bowling of Stokes when the team was on 136 runs. In short, the top scorer from Australian team was TM Head as he was not out 71 runs while Smith was also lucky to get his half century. In the end, the Australian team give the target of 278 runs to England in 50 overs, and that was a fighting total for opponents.
England’s opening pair was not good as England loses their first two wickets on six runs while their 3rd wicket also falls on 35 runs. So, in the start, England batting was very poor, but Morgan and Stokes make the partnership of 159 runs for 4th wicket that seeks the England team towards victory. Morgan was run out on 87 runs while he faces only 81 balls. Till 40.2 overs England was on 240/4 whereas Stokes and Buttler were on 102 and 29 runs respectively when rain interrupts the match. Moreover, due to heavy rain, the umpires will not be able to start the game again, so the panel declared the England winner of this match by 40 runs.
