Bano Qudsia was a veteran writer and by the will of God she died today 4th of February 2017 at Lahore at the age of 88. She was admitted in the hospital from last 10 days at Lahore due to severe illness.

Bano Qudsia a spiritualist born on 28th of November, 1928, in Ferozwala, India wrote in Urdu as well as Punjabi. She is well-known of her Novel Raja Gidh. The writer belongs to a Landlord family and her father died in her childhood. After partition she migrated with her family to Lahore. Before that she was taking education from provision eastern India, Hamachal Pardesh Dharam Shala.

Her mother Mrs. Chathha was also an educated lady. Qudsia got married with Famous Novelist, fictionist, and dramatist Ashfaq Ahmed. Bano Qudsia wrote since her college time in college’s magazine. She completed Graduation in Mathematics and Economics from Lahore, after that she got M.A. Urdu degree from Government College Lahore in 1951. Now this great personality is no more with us. The nation is saddened by her sudden death and vacuum caused by her departure is immense. She wrote many dramas for Radio and Television. Her one drama ‘Aadhi Baat’ takes place of Classic.
