Karachi 3 Day Sartyun Sung Craft Festival had held in Clifton’s famous shopping mall. The Sindh Rural Support Organization organised this festival. And, hundreds of people, including national and international attended the cultural festival. They purchase gifts for their friends and family and praised well the skill of skilful rural women. Citizens take a keen interest in handmade goods like dresses, Ajrak, Furniture, Decoration pieces, Khussy made of pure leather, Handbag, Bed sheets, and in other cultural products.

Folk artists present colourful song and traditional dance in this colourful fair. In the festival, Gul Khatoon, Badshah Zaadi, Imtiaz Khatoon, Maai Soomri, Rehmat khatoon, and other skilled ladies’ work presented. The citizens said on this occasion that right after the establishment of peace into Karachi, organising such festivals is admirable. They added that this type of events should held consistently to empower the skilled women of rural areas. And they’d also get the fair compensation for their work. They also said that culture of Sindh also promoted with this festival.
At this occasion, Secretary of Social Welfare Dr Shereen Mustafa Narejo said that
“The program of poverty finishing in continue in ten districts of Sindh. These districts are Jacob Abad, Kashmore, Ghotki, Shikarpur, Sukkur, Larkana, Qambar Shahdad Kot, Khairpur, Naushero Feroze and Shaheed Benazir Abad. By empowering women can make a real change in society.” She further said, ‘Through Sartyun Sung Craftswomen are provided with the best opportunities, so the middle man character has dismissed. In this way, skilled women can get the reward of their hard work.’
